Uggah Happy With High SOP Compliance By SMK Jalan Arang, SMK St Thomas In Kuching

KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas is happy to note that the two schools that he visited today complied with the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) standard operating procedures (SOP) for the resumption of Form Five and Form Six.
“I am very happy to note the high rate of compliance by the administration of the two schools,” he said in a press statement after visiting SMK Jalan Arang and SMK St Thomas here to see for himself how they are complying with the SOP.
Uggah, who is State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) committee chairman, were accompanied by Minister of Local Government and Housing Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian and Padawan Municipal Council chairman Lo Khere Chiang.
At SMK Jalan Arang, Uggah was welcomed by deputy director-general of the Education Ministry (School Operation Sector) Adzman Talib and the school principal Lau Yok Hock. He spent about an hour at the school.

At SMK St Thomas, the Bishop of Anglican Church in Sarawak and Brunei Datuk Danald Jute, Kuching South City Council Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and the school principal Robin Sabai were among those who received Uggah.
Uggah also took time to visit the Petanak market to check on the COVIDTrace application at its entrance.
